Melina Condren
PSYCHOTHERAPY
Services Offered
I provide a range of virtual psychotherapy options for clients across Ontario.
Individual Psychotherapy
Fee: $125 for a 50-minute session (sliding scale starting at $90)
I work with adults coping with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, loneliness, trauma, executive function challenges, low self-worth, overwhelm, and sensory sensitivities.
Our work together will likely involve two things: building coping skills to get through the day when things are tough, and digging deeper into who you are and what’s important to you so that you can build a life of meaning and authenticity.
I particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent clients, or people who are curious about how neurodivergent traits or experiences might be showing up for them.
Relationship Counselling
Fee: $150 for a 75-minute session (sliding scale starting at $110)
Our work together will likely focus on understanding relationship patterns, identifying unmet needs, and developing skills and strategies to improve communication, build trust, increase intimacy, or manage conflict.
This often takes the form of couples’ therapy (working with two people in a monogamous or non-monogamous romantic relationship), but I am happy to work with any relationship structure.
I often work with neurodivergent or mixed-neurotype couples who are struggling to work with differing needs or communication styles.
Group Psychotherapy
Timing and fees vary based on the group. Please reach out if you’d like to inquire about any upcoming groups.
Group psychotherapy can be an effective alternative or addition to one-on-one work. It can be a very rewarding way to connect with others who have shared experiences, gain a better understanding of some of the challenges you’re facing, and learn new coping strategies.
I occasionally offer time-limited group psychotherapy. See below for upcoming group offerings.
Get Sh*t Done:
A Six-Week Compassion-Focused Group to Explore Challenges Around Executive Functioning
Facilitators: Naomi Reesor, RP, and Melina Condren, RP
Schedule: Bi-weekly Saturdays from 10:00-12:00, starting September 21, 2024
Cost: $350 for the full six sessions
Eligibility: Open to individuals 18+ who reside in Ontario
This group is for individuals experiencing executive functioning challenges and looking to learn more about these issues while connecting with a compassionate community of peers.
Each week focuses on a new theme related to the topic, while also introducing compassion-focused activities to counter the shame that often accompanies executive function differences. At the end of most sessions we’ll have some time for clients to work on a task of their choice, giving them a chance to try out any strategies we’ve discussed and to benefit from co-working, which is a great strategy to support focus in and of itself!
The group isn’t limited to any particular condition or diagnosis– it’s open to anyone experiencing executive functioning challenges for any reason.
Workshops and Training
Fees vary based on workshop style and length. Please reach out if you’d like to inquire about training offerings.
I provide training for other mental health professionals on neurodivergence and neurodiversity-affirming practice. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in knowledge translation, turning academic work into simple and practical training and resources for non-academics. I love bringing that skill into my work as a therapist by creating research-based workshops, webinars, and resources for other therapists who don’t have the time or desire to comb through all the latest research on their own. If you’re interested in booking training for your group, send me an email at melina.condren.therapy@gmail.com.
